KMBZ reporting errors
1) The recent report from KMBZ stated that Justice for Bishop Finn is trying to raise funds for our effort. That actually is inaccurate, as we ceased raising funds for "support" advertising after the first of this year. We are in prayer, not fundraising.
2) KMBZ also reported that Bishop Finn "assigned" Shawn Ratigan to a convent that offers retreats to young girls. Shawn Ratigan was not "assigned". He was taken out of ministry as well as sent to live with the Vincentian Fathers in the house set almost 1/2 mile from the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Eucharist.
July 25, 2012 - Good news. The diocese is no longer a litigant in the Fr. Tierney case. They have been dismisssed from having a role in what some were saying was a cover-up of Fr. Michael Tierney's suppossed abuse actions even though the allegations have not even been proven.
June 28, 2012 - Regarding the order from the county judge for the Diocese of Kansas City, Mo/St. Joseph to provide any files regarding complaints made against any priests in the diocese, NCR reports that the diocese communicates the following statement: "Jack Smith, the interim director of communications for the Kansas City-St. Joseph, Mo., diocese, said that "counsel will be studying these rulings today and will continue to prepare for the trial accordingly."
May 26, 2012 - Bishop Robert Finn announces cannonical appointments in the diocese. See The Catholic Key
May 21, 2012 - Defense motion introduced to the court for dismissal of the charges further explanations as to why the charges are "vague" and "unconstitutional" and should not be applied.
Month of May - 100,000 Memorares.
March 23, 2012 - No gatherings planned. Just pray. Thank you for your support.
February 26, 2012 - The judge has not ruled, yet, on the defense attorney's motions and arguments for dismissal.
February 10, 2012 - 2 Corinthians 12:20: Who does this sound like, and in the news? St. Paul speaking to the Church in Corinth and their issues: "For I fear that perhaps I may come and find you not what I wish, and that you may find me not what you wish; that perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger, selfishness, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder."
February 4, 2012 - Dominico who sang at the public event January 6th was interviewed by Channel 41 Saturday after Bishop Finn's visit to St. Patrick's parish in the Northland. Bishop Finn was met with alot of judgment. People of God, please exercise your virtue of justice. Everyone deserves to present their case for innocence in front of a fair and just judge. The virtue of Justice which you received at your Confirmation in the faith should be exercised. Give Bishop Finn his due. If you can't, maybe you are lacking in this virtue of justice. To realize it, go to confession. Take the log out of your own eye so you can see more clearly that justice demands that someone is innocent until proven guilty. The defense has not even presented to the court, yet. Give them a chance to present before your rash judgements. Whatever happens, we see Christ when we see our Bishop. The priest is a visible reminder of the High Priest Jesus Christ, and then the scriptures tell us that when someone is in prison, we see Christ, too. So, either way, Bishop Finn is another Christ. Show respect. Peace in Christ.
January 30, 2012 - Pray Pray Pray. Another public event is being planned.
January 27, 2012 - Michael Quinlan was interviewed by Bill Grady of KMBZ radio last Thursday and his interview was aired that evening and during drive time on Friday. No audio is available online.
